See if it is the power savings settings in the menu. If you select maximum saving (or similar) the camera keeps the screen off so not to use more power

1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. Please use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher).
2. Clean the battery contacts.
a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth.
b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera
3. Turn on your camera without the memory card.

Its LCD is directly connected with chip LS7408 which is unable to maintans its current stat in case of any jitter so you have to change that chip

go to the menu and go to the settings/options and there should be a setting for plash or a button that has and arrow/lighting bolt figure and that should work.
