Are you aware that this charging system is computer controlled ? There is also a temp sensor for the battery > Battery Thermistor
In addition to the voltage regulator the charging system also utilizes a battery thermistor, which measures battery temperature, in order to control system voltage. A procedure for replacement of the battery thermistor can be found in this section.

They will, but i don't know if i would trust them. The white wire is the thermistor, its what the charger inside uses to monitor the battery temperature. So in case something goes wrong with the charging it can sense the overheating and stop trying to charge the battery. Will the battery work, of course, unless the Nextbook requires the temp sensor input to allow the battery to be used, some devices won't recognize a battery without a temp sensor input and will say there is a battery fault because its missing, and some will work with it but may or may not even charge it because it doesn't see the temp input when it tries to charge. Best suggestion i could make is try it, but i also would suggest you get a proper battery for it, lithium batteries are scary enough when they fail, not having that safety could be even worst.

Check or just replace the coolant temp sensor. This sensor will also tell the computer -40 and stop the a/c if bad connection or faulty part.

replace the temp sensor as what you are doing is what the sensor should be doing when the coolant temp is reached.

Check you did,nt knock the wire off the sender switch.

My outside display stopped working, but the inside display still worked. I found that one of the two batteries in the inside unit was almost all the way dead. Once I replaced both batteries the outside display worked. I also checked the batteries in the outside unit. After all batteries were installed, I pushed the small button that is inside the battery compartment on the outdoor unit. It's now working perfect..

You have not mentioned the make any ways turn towards the back and there you will find two screws unscrew it and then replace baterry one by one not all at once.

you may have a weak battery inside. replace the battery.
