The next time it chimes multiple times turn the hour hand clockwise until it is pointing at the number of times it gonged. Next take off the dial nut off (make sure to put it in a plastic bag because they can be hard to replace) and turn the minute hand until it chimes signaling 15 minutes after. Now put the minute hand back on pointing to 3 o'clock and replace your dial nut and you are all set.

SOURCE: Strausbourg Manor Wall Clock chime adjustment

It is normal for the average wall clock. Of course, this can be adjusted, but without watch/clockmaking knowledge it is impossible, because first you need to find out which part of the movement is causing early chiming - and there are plenty of them.
Super fine adjustment can be found only in top of the range clocks. Hundreds of hours of craftsmenship are spent to adjust and fine tune them. That's why they cost a fortune.
If you can not live with that early chiming, you have to bring your clock down to the watch/clock repair shop and ask for help. Be ready to pay quite a money, as this job takes the skill and a lot of time.

Is there any was to lower chime volume on strausbourg manor mantel clock Quartz Westminister chime

The only way to decrease the volume of a struck bell or metal coil is to dampen it by sticking (gluing or taping) something soft on it to absorb some of the striker energy input. Adding a soft substance where to striker contacts the bell will temporarily dampen or even silence the sound. How long this lasts depends on durability of the soft substance. RTV is an excellent material to use being sure to allow it to cure overnight before being struck.

Where can I find parts for my Strausbourg Manor wall clock please?

I can tell by the sellers of this clock that they are made in China. Due to that, finding parts would be difficult.

How to set a classic manor quartz west minister wall clock to chime at the correct time.

Hello Fern Hicks,

Short of ORDERING IN A NEW movement I
would rather try removing the hands... and placing them where they are chime appropriate...

I'm sure there are more convoluted ways of accomplishing the same thing... but I so old & clock oriented... I only turn clocks & timers in the FORWARD direction (very OLD school).

Remove the minutes hand (from where-ever it strikes)...
Move the hour hand (only if necessary & replace the minute hand as appropriate to the movement strike.

MINUTE HAND NOR THE HOUR HAND NOT ADVANCING AS THEY SHOULD. CLOCK STUCK AT 8:45 FOR DAYS, PENDULUM MOVEMENT OK. WHAT IS THE SOLUTION TO GETTING THESE BACK TO WORK? THIS IS ON A STRAUSBOURG MANOR...

without seeing the clock .....are you sure it isn't something as simple as the hands ( arms) detaching from the centre spindle which continues to turn but without the hands. Alternatively have the hands become stuck on something on the clock face or become intertwined themselves ? Very simplistic but all I have to offer...

How do i reset the chimes for a Strausbourg Manor Quartz Movement wall clock? and what is the magnet for?

Try removing the batteries. Set clock to 5:45. Reinsert the batteries, and set to 6:00. it may take an hour for the clock to sync., but it should do the trick. The only thing I can think of for the magnet would be that it may have fallen out of the pendulum swinger where your pendulum hangs. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
