Speaker popping cracking - Yamaha RX-V371 A/V Receiver

If you are using the factory installed speakers they aren't made for the wattage output of your receiver. Factory stereos only put out about 5 to 10 watts. If you want to play it really loud you need to replace them with speakers that have a higher wattage that what your receiver puts out, which is a maximum of 50 watts

Check the speaker first. If it is found OK, Check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. Your volume emitter needs to be replaced. And or the resisters on both sides of it.

Cracks and pops are dangerous. Can you tell if they might be circuit overloads or maybe digital decoding errors?

Are you routing bass to small speakers. THAT would definitely have audible problems. Define all of your speakers Large vs Small based on their bass-handling capacity.

ONLY DTS? Probably NOT the speakers or amps. How many sources are involved? Could be with the source or cabling.

Does it happen at low volumes, too? Then it would probably be digital in origin.

Do the indicators various digital surround mode indicators flicker or turn off when the pops appear?

As for the rest of your questions, I'd set everything at flat and start all over. If you're maxxing out any settings, something is wrong.

more likely your deck is just running out of power. another cause is the speaker leads could be hitting the metal of the car with the bass, check for clearance.

Check connecting and Volume settings. Speakers might be blown. This happens when high volume is played and speaker tears causing a poping and crakling sound

defective speaker amp or computer sound card, i would suspect the speakers 1st.

You probably have a bad solder connection or an intermittent part failure in the right audio amplifier or its source circuitry. Put in a call for warranty service.

Sounds like a loose connection or a blown speaker. I would try just playing around with the wires to see if you can make it pop, if so, the wire you were messing with is the most likely culprit. Also, verify the sub cone has no damage or cracks. I am betting it i a bad connection or a loose wire.

Is the popping noise coming from the speakers? If it is, lowering the volume to zero does not stop the popping from the speakers, then you have an audio output failure. If the sound is not from the speakers, you probably have a high voltage leak. If this is the case, are you in a moist environment or using the set near a window??
