Sounds most likely a broken/defective lid switch. The lid switch on a top-load washer is a safety switch that detects whether the top-load washer lid is closed. If the lid switch isn't properly detecting whether the lid is closed replace the switch.

check the lid switch,you could have broke it when you closed the lid.also next time you write send the model number,open the lid,get a screw driver and stick it in the hole on top,that's the lid switch set the timer to spin,or close the lid then open it an inch and close it and open it if you don't hear a clicking sound the lid switch is bad.all the lid switch does is to stop the washer from running with the lid open for safety reasons

theire is a little microswitch onder the lid that tell's the cpu when the lid lid is closed or not
you can clean it with contact 60 or replaced it with a new one , problem solved.

disable hibernation and disable the option make it "do nothing when i close my screen lid"
