Xp does not see as a re-writeable drive

I have three drives, a plan cd play, a mad dog 52x-24x-52 rewriteable drive, and a Lite ON cd-dvd rewriteable drive. The windows xp does not see the MAD Dog rewrite drive as being able to rewrites to cd. Then again it could be the software that I have also. It's old and out of date, but I thought I one time it did see both drives as rewriteables. Is there any way to fix this issue?

Just installed a dominator 4 in 1 52x cd-rw + dvd-rom put a dvd movie in - computer sees it but it doesn't play. There was no disk or instructions in the box- uncle hand me down. do i need the dvd...

Did you get the disk that was in the box? it should have Power DVD software in the box. (Mine did) are you using a windows operating system? The software included runs on windows only.

I am trying to burn 16x dvd-r discs but it keeps saying disc is full, when i click properties it shows full in the blue but no files are on the disk

the cd/dvd burner might not be getting enough power
make sure the leads that are attached to your cd/dvd drive have secure connections and are not bad/faulty or just replace them include electrical extension leads
or you might have bad batch of rewritable cd/dvd's
hope this helps

Lost my installation and information cd for 3-in-1 mad dog 52x cd-rw

I can't tell you where it is sorry, but if you are running an operating system ie windows xp or newer you will not need any drivers, also depending on what ports your motherboard has you only need to connect his to either an ide port(old type) remembering that you may have a hard drive connected into one of them also you will need to set the pins to iether primary or secondary again this depends on what setup you have on your motherboard. we really need more info

You can always try surfing the new via say google or look through a webste called tops hardware for your drive.

I have a Mad dog case for my old hard drive that I have hooked to my new computer. The old drive still has operating system on it. It seems to be conflicting with current computers system. It used to work...

If you just want to use old drive for data, here is a way to get rid of old OS. Put your CD for the OS (any will do, but XP works best for me.) Make sure you have CD as a boot drive. When it says "push any key to boot from CD" hit the space bar. Let it go through the motions and when it finally is ready, pick install Windows. It will ask you to pick a partition, and go to Mad dog hard drive. Click on remove partition, and when this is done, eject CD and shut down computer. You can now use FDISK to create partition and format it. Windows will not let you delete an operating system, but you can fool it into letting you this way. Hope this helps!

MacBook and Mad Dog Multimedia Compatible?

According to http://www.mdmm.com/spec.php?productid=160 (check the requirements tab, note that it doesn't work on firefox due to bad coding), it only supports Windows 2000 and Windows XP (even though it doesn't say so, it's likely it's also supported by Windows 98 and Vista) but unless someone made drivers for mac os x, it doesn't look like it'll work.
