Depends on the wattage of your converter..if its a coffee machine, you need a larger converter that will handle the wattage needs of the coffee machine..say if its a 1200 watt unit, you easily need a 1500 watt converter..I lived in germany 3 years..our stereos were 110.. we used huge converters some in exess of 50,000 watts(huge sound system)its a math thing..usually you will need 10% more converter for the wattage size of your appliance..
SOURCE: No electric power when plugged in and turn on switch/cuisinart DC
tried ALL solutions on this & other blogs-even to point of CAREFULLY drilling out plastic to get bit-holder down to the 'MAGIC FASTENER' level and then trying: #10 TORX; ## 7-10 TORX; 'security TORX(with hole in middle) & several other 'secret bits'---ALL TO NO AVAIL !!!!! :0(
then, in SHEER DESPERATION, called Cuisinart @ 800-726-0190 [this is on SAT morning 0915 on 3/28/09] got VERY HELPFUL/KIND/PATIENT rep who was ready to do the " $10 +old one AND $10 for new one" routine, when she said: "Did you try re-plugging into wall socket after 1 hour? That's the re-set time" !!! while she was on the line (they work 'til 1730 EDT on SAT/SUN & 'til 1100 M-F !!!) wife tried this highly-technical/super-secret solution -and- IT #$%^*'ING WORKED !!!!!! ;0) I'm sitting here drinking coffee outta it and posting this solution.
