LG 50 PS70. Our screen is always slightly fuzzy. Everything shows the same way whether it's via the Antenna or DVD, etc. You can watch the program but it's just has a fuzzy appearance.

No matter what we try (cables, etc) the screen resolution is always fuzzy (slightly grainy). You can still see it, but it's not sharp.

All other input works fine e.g. dvd, TV went pink screen.

If other inputs show no problems and you are not using a cable box or satellite receiver, etc. just off air antenna, something on the main board is failing. please double check other inputs again.

Signal quality varies from set to set even if the exact same source is being used----Some of the Plasma and LCD sets are a lot more fussy and will show noise etc another set may not show.

A few questions answered might help resolve this:

On the LG are you only connected via the coax/cable fitting on the set or what?

If connected to rear inputs which are you using for the set?

Has fuzzy spots all the way across the screen and just scrolls up

Is the picture fuzzy whether you are waching tv or a dvd or a tape. If it's only fuzzy on tv or dvd or tape then it's the source. If all inputs are fuzzy suspect a bad tv.

Lost digital signal on analog TV

You do not need to use an RF modulator if you have a LG DR787T. It will output the program on channel 3 or channel 4. If you have another recording machine, I think you may need to re-scan for the stations.
It is also possible that you need to use the remote to switch from the analog (66 only?) stations to the digital stations.
If using a 787, press HOME, select TV & press ENTER, the channel list menu appears. With the highlight on the top of the list, use the < and > arrow keys to select from: TV, DTV, Favorite, or ALL. This lets your pick whether you want to see digital, analog, favorites with the "HEAR" symbol, or all stations.

THIBSRUS:
I think that there is a selection on the Panny that works much like the TV/VCR selection on a videotape recorder. Your machine is receiving and decoding digital stations, as you stated you can see them on the menu screen, but is not passing them through to your TV set for viewing. To use the Panny as a tuner for live TV shows, or actually, programs currently airing, you have to tune the TV to channel 3 or 4, or, if using the Red/White/Yellow connectors, the proper video input selection, AND turn the Panasonic on, and have it sending the programs it is receiving out on the antenna connection or the video/audio out (RWYellow) connections. It is really a matter of selecting, on the Panasonic, whether it passes through the antenna signals, or the digital signals that is is receiving.

Cable box, digital service, channels not appearing

connect the RF lead from the wall to your cable box then out from that to your dvd then out from your dvd to your tv. now connect a scart lead from the cable box to AV 2 on the DVD then connect AV 1 on the DVD to your TV if you have a second scart on your tv connect that to the cable box. NOW on the DVD select AV2 now whatever is on the cable box will be recorded onto DVD/VCR. Put the DVD recorder into VCR mode and set it to auto tune all the Digital Video Broadcasts. You cannot physically tune the cable boxes own channels into the DVD via RF it has to be via a scart.

Sony Rear Projection TV Model # KP 53N74

I have had a similar issue with a Sony 52" circa 2001 tv. It was bad and then got better. The only problem now is that when I plug anything into the component 1-5 (but not 4) the screen is fuzzy. The DVD is plugged into 4 and it works fine. I tried plugging something else into that and it showed up in black and white. Very frustrating. Fancy TV if you only watch cable or a DVD. All other modes show up fuzzy. Sony recommended a tv repair place in St. Paul but they want around $400 just to look at it.
