Uploading pics to mac from SD card in camera

I just recently bought a Kodak easyshare camera (C743) and put an old SD memory card into it. Eventhough i can upload the pics from the cameras internal storage easily, my macbook wont read anything on the card when its in the camera and connected. How can i get my macbook to read the SD card?

also, i tried to install the disc the camera came with and eventhough it says it installed correctly, it crashes everytime i try to open it. Im just using Iphotos to store the pics.

Have you tried using an external card reader?

They look similar to this at Wal-Mart:
http://i.ehow.com/images/GlobalPhoto/Articles/4794433/120257_Full.jpg

I own a mac and always use an external usb card reader to download my pics and it works great. Also, I know that you need to get your pics off first, but you may need to reformat you card at some point so that it will read faster and work quicker in your camera.

For your software issue, have you tried download the software from kodak's website? The program shouldn't cause your apple to crash. I would try re-installing it from there website.

What size is your SDXC Card? The maximum supported it 2 Gb. It can't handle more than that and won't format.

I just bought an hp 4 gig sdhc memory card for my kodak easyshare c743 camera. Will it work or should i return it?

The C743 works with MMC and SD cards, not with SDHC card. Your 4GB card will not work in it. You can return it or, if you have another device which can use SDHC cards, keep it.

Have a Kodak EasyShare C743, bought a SanDisk, won't format

Your camera was designed before the SDHC format came out. Sorry, your camera can only use standard SD cards, those usually 2GB or less. An SDHC card will not be recognized properly by your camera. If you really want to use a 4GB card, do a Google search for SD and "non hc", with the non hc in quotes. Believe that Transcend makes one.

Can't upload a pic to the computer from the camera

hello, You can upload pics to your computer by following the steps below. There are two ways of doing so. 1. you can take your memory card out and put it in a card reader which can be connected to your computer using a USB cable. 2. download software of kodak easyshare in the following link. http://www.kodak.com/global/mul/service/downloads/DownloadLookup.jhtml?pq-path=6840/6841&product=EKN030242 Then connect your camera to your computer using the USB cable which would have been given to you when you bought the camera. The software will recognize the camera and you can take a copy of the pictures in the cam from that software. Please rate the solution. ~regards, Jegan
