Lost the CD for NexxTech External Hard Drive Enclosure

Try the following
Is your external HD (Seagate + Enclosure) being seen by your computers USB system ? When you connect it, is there any action at the bottom right of your screen ? Any messages saying 'New hardware found' ?
If you get this, or even if you don't, try My Computer > right click > management. Click on Disk Management in the new window that opens. The window will change or a new one will open (I can't remember). You might see, in addition to your internal (system) HD, an your floppy, an you CD/DVD, another disk which is marked a unallocated or uninitialized. Right click on that [Do not select you system disk or any disk which may contain data by mistake] ; a menu should come down which may have the choice 'New Partition' which brings up a windows Wizard, Go through that, selecting the defaults if uncertain, ending with clicking on finish. Your disk should now begin formatting - it may take some time depending on how big your disk is. Do not select your system disk by accident. When this is finished your disk will show up in Windows File Explorer. This is the outline for Windows XP, but I think other versions od Windows offer a similar facility.
If this fails, try a different jumper select on your (Seagate) disk; I do not know what the correct jumper setting is.

Does your PC recognise the fact that you've connected your camera?

Try uninstalling Capture NX2 and then reinstalling, if you still have the Installation CDs.

NEXXTECH NX2

If this is a new drive, you will need to format it before it will show up in My Computer. To do so, start by right-clicking on My Computer, then choose Manage from the menu. Click on Disk Management, you should see a list of drives in your system. Your new drive will show up as unallocated space, right-click on that and choose New Partition, choose the size of the partition you want, and choose to format it. Once the partitioning and format process is complete, the drive should show up in My Computer under a new drive letter.

Nexxtech wireless keyboard and mouse purchased on 2/11/08 from circuit city, model NX2 keyboard will not work, batteries changed, start up disk reran

On your keyboard somewhere, there is a very small indented button. You can press this button with the tip of a ballpoint pen. Press this button momentarily, then release it. this will make the keyboard search for the channel that your iending unit is on. If this doesn't help, try pushing the button on the keyboard, the sending unit and the mouse one after the other. These Buttons can usually be found on the bottoms of the units.

Usb 2.0

If you connect a device like this that is running in USB 2.0 to a computer or device that only supportrs USB 1.0 the speeds there will be just the USB 1.0 , because it will depend to the USB port that its connected to.. that's why its advisable that if you have a device that runs in USB 2.0 better connect it to a device also that supports 2.0 so you can get the 2.0 speed..

Hope that helps.......

Red Light/Blue Light I/O Error

My nx2 is working again after having the "red light/blue light/I/O Error" problem. I just:

1. turned off my computer
2.unplugged the HD,
3. took out the HD from the enclosure and plugged it back into the enclosure,
4.started up my computer without the HD being plugged in
5. after my computer had been on for a minute, I plugged the HD in and my computer recognized it and had the proper mixture of red and blue light coming from the HD, indicating it's working properly.

Good luck!

Music format

It's .wav format. However if you burn your MP3s as an audio disc (not an MP3 disc) with a program like Nero or Roxio Easy DVD Suite, then it will automatically convert them to .wav and burn them to CD and it will work with your CD player straight off.
