Display is not working

Initially update the firmware of the mobile.since white display may be caused due to firmware corrupt.If it was not fixed then check the lcd display of the mobile it may be damaged in that case you have to replace it.
Note:if you able to receive calls and make other functions when display is white then there is no need to update firmware

there are two kinds of white screen in phone,
the first one is because of damage LCD (glass screen) ,
defective display driver (small chips that makes the display works)
and the other one is corrupted software...in damage lcd the phone will detected
by computer because its software is still working...so ,
the problem of your phone am sure is the second one ,
corrupted software....your phone needs to reprogram,and
need to go to the model of the phones care center to fix you problem...

there is no other way except getting a new screen but a local phone repair shop would more than likely be cheaper than sony ericsson service centre

You will have to replace this off eBay Im afraid, I have one in the shop but I would'nt be selling it on here or private. It would be listed on eBay or for my customers.

This is because Operating System (OS) of your mobile has been corrupted. U can't do anything to fix this by yourself. U can get it repaired only by contacting nearby SE authorised service centre. [Even i had a same experience in my SE W810i]

hello there !jbirdcreek62, this might sound really daft..but have you tried changing the theme on your sony w810i ? Sometimes the theme i installed , changed the text colour to a colour that was the same as the screen colour and i couldnt see the text on screen... 

i wold recomend replacing the screen if that is the only thing that is not working

the LCD or display need to be replaced so take it to a mobile center to have it done.

the phone needs to be taking to a professional mobile service center and have the lcd replaced and the firmware reflash on the phone.
