Hi...The transmission system that moves the lens in and out has a
problem with it's gears. There is most likely a gear or an actuator
that has fallen out of alignment and is getting stuck at a certain
point as the lens comes in/out.There is some disturbacnce of the lens
arrangement that is preventing the lens from coming in/out.Any of these
symptoms above could trigger the camera to shut itself off to protect
itself from further damage. thank u rate me!!!

Hi,
Unfortunately it sounds like the camera is beyond repair. When a camera's dropped like that there's a 50/50 chance that a mechanism in the lens has been broken and it's repairable. From the sounds of yours though, the fact that it won't come back out when you turn the camera on, it sounds like you're better off getting a new camera.
Because the camera has been dropped KODAK might determine this fault as Out of Warranty
An Out of Warranty repair for this model for this fault is about 48 pounds + shipping. KODAK also offers a Trade up option where you will have the opportunity to trade up to a newer model 25-30% cheaper than the market price.
KODAK doesn't sell lenses individually, but if you contact KODAK directly you can have it mended cheaper.

If you've recently dropped the camera you may have lens damage that's
preventing the camera from operating properly. If it hasn't been
dropped, your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries
or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera
which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the
camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the
batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with
a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush,
steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen
into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of
the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears
the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your
batteries may need to be replaced, or the camera may have
a problem that requires professional repair.

Pls test with an alt. batt.
If you do not have access to a dif. battery.
Pls. take the batt out of the camera. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the batt. If not you will need to order a No power repair.

This problem is frequently due to corroded battery terminals inside the
camera. Remove the batteries and wipe the terminals with a soft cloth
(heavy corrosion may require a fine wire brush, steel wool, or
sandpaper). Remove any residue left in the camera by the cleaning.
Clean the terminals on the batteries in the same manner, and then
replace them in the camera. This cures most problems, but if it
doesn't work for you, check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:
