Kenmore vacume I have a Kenmore progressive vacume cleaner the motor does not come on

Remove the rotating brash and check it, something is blocking the suction, probably you need a new belt

Look for grooves on the motor shaft and on the brush shaft.

If it is due to the dog, it is common. Take some cotton balls, put some of your favorite cologne or perfume on them and **** them into the cleaner. You can also spray around the inside of the bag area and the hose with Lysol.

Hello, you can not reset the canister only the power head, if y ou picked up something and it got caught in the roller, it will shut the motor off, on top off the head is a red botton take a pen or something small to push the botton, and that will rest the powert head, if the canister is not running the cords go bad, and will need to be replaced. Check the tube that leads down to the brush head for clogging as well as any motor or HEPA filters. If that still shows nothing, take the cover off the brush head (like you're changing the belt) and look for obstructions in there. Usually, if you have low suction on the accessory hose, the problem is with a motor filter, HEPA filter, or a clog where the hose goes into the unit. If you have good suction on the accessory hose but none on the floor, it's usually in the brush head (clog or broken belt) Good luck
