SOURCE: ironman 520e elliptical

i believe this is error occurs when the console doesn't get a reading from the gear box. while debugging a problem with the reed switch (the thing that detects motion, that you have started pedaling) I had the gearbox unplugged and it indicated error 1. once plugged back in, it was fine. possibly you have pinched/cut wires? I had this problem where the stem meets the body.

The gear box wires are red/yellow/orange for the servo positioning, and brown/black for power to move the motor.

My ironman 420e screen is turned on but blank and will not show the settings. How do I reset it or is it broken?

Dear Sir:

You must do the following:
1) Tight the flexible cord or ribbon cable from keypad 2) Tight the connector from display board to main motor board(Lower board). 3) you must try to measure if +5vdc IS PRESENT is display board, other wise the main motor or display board is faulty. Run your software calibration for easy diagnose and troubleshooting.
see my block diagram for treadmil for better understanding diagnose.
sincerely. God bless you.

The console has no power at all

Remove console and check the harness connection to the console.I'm assuming the the unit is getting power. If not positive, check power source. If this is new and it never worked, more than likely something is not connected. Start at the console then then the check the connection at the bottom of upright.( some disassembly will be required for this step) If no obvious connection problem you will need a meter pass this point.

Toggle display Ironman Achiever between Kilometers and Miles?

On the back of the console, there is a place to switch from kilometers to miles. It's just a black little switch, labeled with miles or kilom.

Power problem

If you don't have any indicators working, you have probably lost your power supply. With no picture and no sound the chances are you have either lost the power supply or blown a fuse. If you remove the cover and look at the circuit board there is a fuse located near the rear of the chassis near where the power cord connects to the chassis. If the fuse is blown, it is advisable to replace your damaged power cord before replacing the fuse. The cord could have a short and this could create a fire. Be very careful when working on any television. Be sure it is unplugged for more than one day to allow the high voltage to decay from the picture tube. Do not touch the picture tube, it still may have some residual voltage and could shock you. If you replace the cord and fuse and still have the same problem, you will probably find that the high voltage transistor is bad and needs to be replaced.

Polaroid FLM-2011 LCD

look at the back of your lcd it usually will state the voltage and power requirements of the required replacement adapter...never exceed the voltage requirements this may cause damage DO NOT USE THE 16V ADAPTER!
The adapter you require appears to be rated at 12V x 5A a 60Watt unit you can replace most likely with similar switch mode unit rated at 12V and at least 5A or more
