Hold down the "Wave" and "Setup" buttons at the same time while powering on the SPD-S. This will turn off the protection; you should now be able to remove the file.
To turn the protection back on, perform the same procedure again.

Use the following procedure to turn off wave protect: 1. Power on while holding SETUP and WAVE ("Welcome to SPD-S",
followed by "wave protect off" will show momentarily in the display). Note: Repeat the procedure to turn wave protect back on.
You will first need to remove the protection for the files before you can burn them. To do this open windows media player. Click tools-> Privacy and check the box next to "Automatically download usage rights when I play or sync a file" . Then play the files in media player and the protection will be removed. You can then try burning the CD again. If it doesn't work try converting the format of the music. For example convert mp3 to wav and then convert it back to mp3. Do not use AAC encoding as it will retain the protection. Anything other than that, the locks will be broken. Please note that it is illegal to remove protection on songs unless you have purchased them and want to transfer them to another computer or device.
I think maybe the Olympus MP3 is DRM protected so if you would like to convert the file into .wav file .the first thing you need to do is to remove drm from this file and then convert it .here,I 'd like to introduce you an all-in-one music converter.you could solve all your problem at the same time .save your time .http://www.removing-drm.com/music-converter/reference.html
if you have the samples in .WAV then you will have to IMPORT them, because SPD-S can only play .SPD files (import will convert from WAV to SPD).If you have produced your samples with your SPD-S (via mic or line-in or PhraseMaker) then they are already in .SPD-format and can be assigned without importing. In this case you just have to assign a sample to a pad, by pressing CARD ("card"=lit) you can assign samples from your CF-card to a pad.
There is a lot of software on-line (some free) that can convert the most common files to whatever format you want.
However WAV files are rather large, also it's difficult to put extra information on them, such as album images. It would be much easier to convert the files to MP3.
