Question about Honda Garden

1 Answer

8 hp honda on cement mixer starts on first pull but shuts down as if it is running out of gas. I put fresh gas in it and cleaned the filter and bowl of the carb.

My engine starts on the first pull but only runs for a couple of minutes and then acts as if it is running out of gas. The tank is full. I changed the gas and took the bowl of the carb cleaned it and put the bowl back on. It starts but shut off after a short time.

Could be contaminents in fuelespecially if you have run the tank nearly dry. Either drain tank and flush fuel lines or keep tank topped up until the problem disapears as it should do if it is dirty fuel.

I have a John Deere JS30 self propelled lawn mower I had issues with it running for 15 minutes and then it stops running. Was low on oil. Added oil over the full line now it runs for 3 min and dies

Wayne, correct your oil level to full line, change your spark plug and try mower. If still acting up after a couple minutes, the Gas cap vent may be plugged, remove or loosen cap to see if mower will run longer and better. If no improvement, the carburetor is dirty and needs cleaned or rebuilt.

Gas will not flow from tank to motor while running

Everybody had a crack at this problem, another thing would check is these engines sometimes have a primary fuel filter inside the tank itself. Drain the fuel and gently blow compressed air back through fuel line towards tank then rinse the tank out with fuel, refill and try run engine again

Primer bulb collapsed

Slightly unscrew the gas cap and see it the problem goes away.
Many times the Gas tank Vent clogs and this will cause the engine to create a vacuum in the gas tank until the engine can't draw in the gas .

2000 Buell Blast runs great around town. Freeway speeds runs for 3 to 5 miles then out of nowhere dies. Acts like it's running out of fuel then dies. I have pulled the carb and cleaned the jets. C

If it starts up after sitting for a few minutes, (like 2 or 3) it could have a plugged fuel filter or the gas tank strainer built into the fuel valve could be plugged too. Drain the gastank anyway and change the gas with fresh. can't hurt. If it takes 15-30 minutes or after the bike cools some I would look at an ignition coil. Check to see if it has spark next time it quits.

I recently bought a 2004 klx 400 sr dual sport. the bike starts up with no problems. After i ride it for a few minute the bike starts to act like it is running out of gas then stalls. it will turn...

Hello
Your running out of gas.
the fuel filter needs replaced.
your fuel filter is clogged and isn't letting a full flow of gasoline through.
change your fuel filter.

Also check to make sure your gas tank vent isn't clogged.
a clogged gas tank vent with pull a vacuum and try to **** your tank in, but it can't, so your fuel flow stops if it can't breathe.

That should take care of your problem.
have a great weekend
