You need new drive belts. The head loading mechanism is driven from the capstan. These are great decks and well worth fixing.

first of all i did fing the sony manual on sony's website http://www.docs.sony.com/release/KV36FS13.PDF

page 32 shows the audio out jacks , run the red and white wires to the inputs on the aiwa (i did not find a manual for the aiwa) if there are no input jacks on the aiwa then you can not connect it.

The company, Aiwa, is defunct. Parts & support, therefore, are zip. I used Gorilla tape to bind the cable ends together. It works as long as there is no movement to the cable. Best solution: time to shop for a new stereo.
