So when i start ny R4, then it it'll say GAMES MULTIMEDIA BOOT-SLOT
The multimdia function won't work...
This is waht it says:
(bottom screen)
"An error detected while trying to access the disc of file. Please confirm the followings:
Did the setup end normally?
Is the 'moonshl' folder moved deleted?
Have you enabled the resume function with media that is not supported?
Do you have enough free space on your media?
Please reformat the media and try again."
and blah, blah, blah.
How do you reformat the thing anyway?

oh dear, one of the games is infected with a virus, dnt delete any of the saves i did and then it killed my card, i was told to format the card, you might have the chance for it to start working again, but i had to buy a new one for nearly £40 i hope you succeed

The old R4 Revolution or any non SDHC device only support up to 2GB, wont support 4GB cards as these ones are already SDHC memories.
You need a SDHC compatible flashcart device to be able to use your 4GB or bigger memory.

This sound like your using an R4 catridge? Your problem doesn't specify if this is the case.

This sounds like, quite simply, you having the wrong type of firmware for your card.
There are three 'main' types of R4 card: The R4v2, R4 SDHC, and R4v3 card. There are numerous others as well, but these are the main three. You can find out which one you have and download the correct software by following this link. If you're still stuck, try e-mailing this website with a photo of your card and they may be able to help.
