Roxio 9, Roxio Creator 9 and Roxio Creator 10 are different animals. Roxio 9 is 3 years old +. It likely will not handle 64bit or Windows 7. Roxio Creater 9 is not listed as compatible with Windows 7
The following are from the Roxio site: The following products have been designed to be Window 7 compatible (as of January 2010):
Roxio Creator 2010
Roxio Creator 2010 Plus
Roxio Creator 2010 Special Edition
Roxio Creator 2010 PRO
Roxio Easy LP to MP3
Roxio Burn
Roxio CinePlayer BD
The following products have been UPDATED to be Windows 7 compatible (as of January 2010):
Windows7 is still being developed and as far as I know it has some compatibility issue with many hardware etc..Check compatibility with manufacture before you look any further.
1. Try to launch Creator Classic to see if it can repair the engine files. a. Double click on the "Roxio Easy Media Creator Home" icon. b. Click "Creator Classic" under the "Applications" section. c. The Windows installer should launch and ask you to insert your installation disc
Try this and see how it works, if it does not, contact me and give me more details

about 30 bucks..actually...the first one is usually for entry level, music only work. creator has the ability to burn data cd's and soon, DVD's with a mixing overlap. Nice product actually.
Resolved, unsure what I did but a full re-install of xp and all is working after I did my final windows updates. keep in mind that a fresh install of winxp sp2 with none of 88 recommended patches it still wasnt working
