My printer says there is a paperjam but I don't see a paperjam.

check paper loading area and printing area is there any paper jammed? remove any viable objects, If printer in warranty surrender to HP. check paper path sensor...

Go to printer icon >>>right click go to properties >>>then go to tools >>> click on the configuration to set repair your printer...
If the problem still persist call a technician to clean the nozzle of the printer

If your printer for any reason reports a paper jam, withput going through the "clearing paper jam" procedure it may not respond to print command. So follow the procedure below:-

Clearing paper jam in a printer is simple almost seven step procedure depending on the printer. Paper jam is the term used to refer to the scenario where your paper fails to come out of the printer during the print process. When you send a document to the printer, normally the printer prints out the document on a paper; then you can pick up your printed copy. When the paper gets stuck in the printer, it is said that paper has jammed in the printer "paper jam".

Even if you are not a technical person, you can conveniently clear paper jams. All you need is to follow the set of procedures outlined below.

it is possible that the printer as a ink issue or thinks it has a paperjam, another thing that can happen is that the print sent to the printer become corrupt locking the printer in a "i dont know what to do" state.

try to run a test print through the printer using the internal test, this is normmaly done by holding down the power button till the power light blinks it should then spit out a print (do this while unplugged form the computer)
**for full test print instructions refer to user manual)

if the driver has become corrupted it also will send damaged print information to the printer
if the test print works fine than you may need to delete all your queued jobs and then run a WINDOWS TEST PRINT form the driver. if this still does not work reinstall the drivers of the printer
(providing the printer will run an internal print)

Disconnect the USB cable, go to RUN and type in services.msc and then find print spool and right click, then choose restart.

open the printer top, and pull the paper out which is stuck. then you will find a button near led display on the printer .press tht and close the top lid...ur printer will work fine.
if not then cut the power of printer, restart it.

Be careful with the jammed paper, do not force the paper more then required that may mis-align the carriage assembly.

Turn off your HP DeskJet printer. Turn it back on and connect it to your computer using the USB cable.

To reset the INK Counter, see below.
Click open the "Start" menu on your computer. Click on "Control Panel," and double-click "Printer and Faxes."

Locate the icon of your HP DeskJet Printer along with its model number. Right-click this icon and click on "Properties" from the pop-up list.
Click the "Services" tab and select "Service This Device."
Select the "Estimated Ink Level" tab. Click the option "Reset Ink Level." The printer will then show a refreshed ink cartridge level for your printer.

To reset all settings and print test page. see below.
* Press and hold the Power button.
* While holding the Power button, press and release the Resume button four (4) times.
* Release the Power button. A self-test page will print.

Sometimes the paper tray or where the ink is may have somethng loged up in there, also try to disconnect the power for 10 seconds and plug back in.

problem with the cables ,
the light blinks faster if any of the cable is lose or disconnected .
