Unable to see and delete( or format) songs in player

o delete songs from your device follow the steps below
You have to make sure that the device is on MSC mode...then make sure your device is plug in to the computer..Then go to programs - accesories - windows explorer, find the SanDisk in my computer, go to media, music and delete them from there.
Either under sync panel in your windows media player it will show your music when it's connected. just click the plus signs for what song you need to get rid of, right click and click delete.
To format it..on your device..go under..menu, setting and there should be a format option option there..let me know if that doenst work for you...
Hope this helps

Message states unable to format

Make sure you dont have Rhapsody, or Windows Media Player open. Go to My Computer>Device Name (e260)>Right Click and select FORMAT. If that doesnt work, change the mode on the device Settings>Mode or USB Mode and repeat. Best of Luck.

Trying to format

Are you formatting thru My Computer? If so try using Computer Management. Right click on My Computer and select Manage. On this window select Disk Management on the left. On the right side at the top, your drive should be listed. Right click on the device and select format. If your device does not show up, change the devices mode and try again. Device>Settings>Mode or USB Mode. Best of Luck.

Two problems with my mp3 player

Hi Mina. An internal memory corruption might have occurred on your player, and would need to format your player through "Disk Management" (I'm assuming you have Windows XP or Vista). Here's how: (1) First, set your player to MSC mode by navigating your menu as follows: Menu >> Settings >> USB Mode Choose "MSC" (2) Open "Computer Management" by right-clicking on the "My Computer" icon, then selecting "Manage" (3) Your "Computer Management" window should be divided into 2 panes. On the left pane, click on "Disk Management" (4) On the upper right pane of "Disk Management", you should find the drive letter corresponding to your Sansa E250. The lower section also contains the drive # pertaining to your E250. Right-click on either drive letters pertaining to the E250 and select "Format". Follow the on-screen prompts. Make sure that the "Quick Format" checkbox remains un-checked. In general, Disk Management is more the effective tool for formatting your E250 and assuming the format processing completed without any errors, you may now use your player as you would. You may want to set the mode of your MP3 player back to "MTP" (if you're going to download subscription songs -- otherwise, just leave it in MSC mode) by navigating your menu as follows: Menu >> Settings >> USB Mode Choose "MTP" In case you get the error "Unable to Complete Format" or the format process is unable to complete, you may want to call the SanDisk Tech Support guys for more advanced troubleshooting (I call `em when I'm at my wit's end lol) I hope it works :)
