Control panel won't work

I would suggest not buying a KitchenAid. I have the same problem with my ice maker. Have had nothing but problems with every KitchenAid product that I have ever owned. I will never purchase another KitchenAid product.
All of there appliances are second rate. That is "The KitchenAid Difference"

How long have you had this refrigerator and is this the first time this has happened? Your refrigerator has a control board and I believe the board is causing the refrigerator not to defrost every 8 hours. Let me know these questions and I will help you resolve this. Thanks, Sea Breeze

1.check if the fan inside the freezer is running
2. if ref runs none stop, defrost timer is out.
3. or it could be the high limit that paired in series with the defrost heater

I WOULD UNPLUG UNIT FROM OUTLET AND WAIT ABOUT 5 MIN. THEN PLUG BACK IN. IF WORKS YOU RESET THE BOARD IF DOESNT WORK THENYOU MAY NEED BOARD REPLACED. HOPE THIS WORKS
