I Just picked up a JBl Radial Micro at the Salvation Army for $5! It works fine - except the actual ipod dock connector is missing. So that means I can run my ipod through the stereo 1/8" input connector on the back, but I can't charge the ipod or listen to it while seated in the proper cradle...
I have checked out quite a few websites and know that you can order a multitude of different dock connectors online - I just need to know which one I can solder to the now open slot on my Radial Micro where the old one was. I assume somebody maybe was handling it a bit roughly while putting their ipod in and out of the cradle when the connector broke off. I know I'll have to open the unit to access the PC board inside
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Bit late! Just remove the four rubber feet underneath (self adhesive). Take out the four philips screws. It's a bit of a mess inside - you'll have to remove the connectors and some screws to get to the i-pod connector. You dont need to remove the button pcbs just the main board. The i-pod connector pcb is on the end of the grey ribbon cable connected to the main board (the button end of the unit).

Turn on the JBL with the ipod in place, turn off at the mains plug, turn back on, turn on your JBL and the remote should work.

Hi, I have this problem and when I spoke to JBL techical support they told me that Apple have changed their software on the New Nano and the ipod touch and of course the iphone and regrettably the radial does not support S video for these products. I'm told it will work with first generation ipod classics. PS: i had to carefully cut off some of the plastic plug to make sure the connection goes all the way into the back of the radial

If you peel back the rubber cushioning on the base of the dock you will see several screws to access the main housing of the unit.
Take it from there.
