Hi guys I have F22 lightning 2 At windows 7 but when I start the game with DOSbox I can't play the missons,it's like missing the CDrom to be able to enter the game. Is it some setting in the directory DOSbox I'm configuring wrong? I put this way like that in DOSBox: mount c \ F22 (enter) ---> C: (enter) -> F22. and the game goes but I can not play the missions. Anyone know around this problem? Any help is welcome ^ ^ thank you.

If f22 lightning 3 was written for an earlier version of Windows then you need to have Windows 8 run in that mode when you play the game. It is called compatibility mode.

You need to get a copy of either DOSBox or VirtualBox to help you play older games on your newer system. You can download them and learn about them from the links below.

Try with dosBox. It's a DOS emulator. It's really intuitive.

It's not ompatible with Vista, yes. Neither with 7 or XP, at leats. You should try a Dos wmulator, like DosBox.

I used it but at one step of the game, the sounds bugs and I get an error.
So I used the DOSBOX version, installed with this link :http://www.sierrahelp.com/Files/NewInstallers/LighthouseForDOSBox.exe

I managed to install Lighthouse for Dosbox (I had the ISO, not the CD), chosing "local install", and mounting the iso on a F: virtual drive. Then I had to change a line in the dosbox.conf file :in [autoexec], old line : mount d -t cdrom -ioctl
new line : mount d F:\ -t cdrom -ioctl
Now I can play Lighthouse on Vista ok.

I'm playing F22 on XP with dosbox. It should work in vista.
It's a dos emulator
