How to Reverse Your Refrigerator Door (Most units)

1. Remove the toe grille.
2. Remove top hinge cover if available. Trace around the hinge with a soft lead pencil. This makes the re-installation easier. Remove top hinge and lift door off the center hinge pin, and set the door aside.
3. Unscrew the center hinge pin using an adjustable wrench and save for reassembly. Ensure that the plastic washer stays on hinge pin.
4. Lift the refrigerator door off of the bottom hinge and set aside.
5. Remove center hinge and shim by removing inside screw and loosening two outside screws enough to allow hinge and shim to slide out. Tighten screws.
6. Loosen two outside screws on opposite side of refrigerator, remove inside screw and install center hinge.
7. Remove two screws on bottom hinge with 3/8" socket wrench.
8. Install bottom hinge on opposite side with the two screws removed from Step 7.
9. Unscrew the bottom hinge pin using adjustable wrench. Move hinge pin to other hold in hinge and tighten with adjustable wrench.
10. Reverse door handles.
11. Move freezer and refrigerator door stops to opposite side. Before starting screws, use an awl to puncture the foam.
12. Position refrigerator door onto bottom hinge pin and screw center hinge pin through center hinge into the top of the door. Close refrigerator door to help align hinge hole.
13. Tighten center hinge pin with adjustable wrench.
14. Remove cabinet and hinge hold plugs and move to opposite side.
15. Lower freezer door onto center hinge pin (if you have a separate freezer door).
16. Close freezer door. Have an assistant lift up on opposite side of the door while tightening screws to install top hinge.
17. Flip top grille and reinstall.
18. Plug in electrical power cord and turn refrigerator temperature control to center position. Adjust setting as needed.

Akai ewi 4000s neck strap mount

1 Un screw all the screw on black panel, but must remember where each on goes, but Be careful not the two screws in side mouth pice which holding the pitch bend unit. 2. open the battery cover remove all the battery 3. Remove the 1/4 earphone nut, and all screws on the silver metal case. (Under the black plastic ), you don't need to remove any screws from the "key" side 4. Use something to pull the battery Cartridge sideway out from Main attachments, but not all the way out from the ewi case, because you can't, the plastic case structure will be in the way, 5. Use some flat pice metal like dinning knife insert in to between black and sliver metal to separate the two parts, start from the mouth pice end, once you open wide enough the battery cartridge can be remove from the case out. Now you can open the Ewi 4000s and see the two HX nuts that holds the strap mount, put some Nail polish on it before you tie them up.....Warning.. You must pull the battery cartage sideway out from its electric plugging mount before you are trying to separate the plastic and silver housing otherwise you will damage the circuit board. That was What I did to mine. Good luck and may God provide you wisdom for this.

I have a playskool cookie monster count and crunch, and my son hold the head to hard and now the mouth of the toy no longer moves. Any idea how to fix it?

My son did the exact same, i thought I'd share the fix because it looks like a common fault. I found the problem wasn't a detached string in the mouth but a broken plastic pivot in the body. I replaced it for a screw & cookie works fine now, took me 30 mins plus some stitching.
  • make a neat cut straight down cookies belly fur from chin to base.
  • open him up gently, there's 7 screws on the case to undo - 2 of them are quite deep which hold the backpack on.
  • separate the front section by titling from the bottom upwards.
  • on the right hand side you'll see 3 cams for the head movement - turn him on/ move his head if you're unsure
  • the horizontal one has a white plastic peg that it uses for the pivot, this is what had snapped off in mine.
  • so, remove the lower cam & it's 2 screws. remove the horizontal cam. get rid of the white peg. remove the screw on the white box behind where the peg sat.
  • now use a new screw to replace the pivot point and fix the horizontal cam to the box - don't tighten it right up,it needs to move. I used a 1/2" no.8 screw.
  • replace other cam - again don't tighten it right up, it needs to move.
  • replace front cover - takes a bit of guiding into place.
  • replace screws & stitch his stomach back up.
This worked for me, hope it helps.

Replace belt

Access is through the FRONT of the dryer is replacing the belt. I suspect you are missing a digit in your model number. There are several model numbers that I was able to cross reference to, but the design of the dryer differs slightly. One model has a lower toe panel under the door, the other has a solid front panel. In either case, the change the belt, follow these steps:

1. UNPLUG the dryer and remove the lint screen.

2. Remove the two screws that were under the lint screen and lift the top panel.

3. Unplug the door switch conector plug and any ground wire that may be installed on the casing.

4. SOLID FRONT PANEL -

a. Locate the two screws that hold the front panel in place. There should be one screw on each side in the cabinet interior.

b. With the door shut, lean against the front panel and remove the two screws that hold it in place. Once the screws are removed, grasp the front panel at the top center and lift straight up to remove.

5. SPLIT FRONT WITH LOWER TOE PANEL -

a. Insert a putty knife along the top seam of the toe panel where it meets the dryer front panel about 2 inches in from each side. Push in to release the retaining clip on each side, while pulling out slightly on the panel. Once the panel is released, it will open from the top. Set aside.

b. While holding the dryer door shut, locate the four screws that hold the remaining front panel in place. You shouldn't have to remove the lower mounting screws. Just loosen them. Then, locate and remove the top screws. Once the screws are removed, set the panel aside.

You should now have complete access to the dryer interior. If the belt is broken, this may cause the idler pulley (tensioner) to come loose. This is normal with no tension on the pulley to hold it in place. To install a new belt (if required) and re-install the pulley, follow these steps:

1. Loop the drive belt around the dryer drum with the groove side facing the drum. (Try to line the belt up with the wear marks already on the drum from the previous belt).

2. With the tensioner in your left hand, insert the clip end of the idler pulley into the grooves on the dryer bottom casing with the idler wheel pointing to your left. (The grooves are directly in front of the drive motor.)

3. While holding the tensioner in place, insert the belt UNDER the wheel with your right hand and pull it up and over the drive motor pulley.

If this does not explain it well enough, you can also verify by going to repairclinic.com. Click on the Repair Help link and look for the "Dryer Belt Diagrams" link under the Special Features section on the next page. Look for Roper and refer to diagram H.

Replacement parts (if required) can be ordered on line at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

All these sites offer great service with competitive pricing, so shop and compare. The first three sites I have listed also inlcude helpful exploded view diagrams that can help you locate and properly indentify the parts you may need.

NOTE: If you still have the teflon glide type tensioner, Whirlpool recommends you replace it with a conventional roller type idler pulley. The teflon type tensioners caused premature wear to the drive belt. The part number is 691366.

Once you have the belt installed, re-install the dryer front panel by holding it as you did previously. Line up the holes on the inside bottom edge of the front panel with the small mounting cleats on the front edge of the side panels for SOLID FRONT PANELS. Once you have the front panel in place, lean against it to hold it in place and install the mounting screws. This can be done by yourself, but an assist may make it easier.

For SPLIT PANELS, line up the lower part of the panel with the bottom two mounting screws. Push the top of the panel in to line of the top screws and tighten. Re-install the toe panel and snap closed.

NOTE: Don't forget to reconnect the grounding wire and door switch connector plug. Without the door switch connected, the dryer will not run. Lower the top panel back in place and reinstall the two screws.

NOTE: Placing a piece of duct tape over the dryer vent chute will help safeguard against dropping anything down in the blower fan assembly. If you drop any screws down the chute, you will need to remove the dryer back panel to retrieve them. If you have any questions about this repair, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

I have Whirlpool Duet Dryer that has a noise.

It is common for small items (such as coins) to get stuck inside the dryer drum baffles. You can easily remove them without disassembling the entire dryer. The screws that hold them in place are located on the outside of the dryer drum. In order to access, follow these steps:

1. Unplug the dryer.
2. Remove the top panel of the dryer by removing the three screws located in the back of the dryer holding the panel in place. Once the screws are removed, the top panel slides back, then lifts off.

Each drum baffle has two screws holding it in place. Remove the screws and the baffle will drop into the drum allowing you to easily check inside each one.

Another source of dryer noise is something caught in the blower fan housing. You will need to remove the lower toe panel directly below the dryer door to access. Follow these steps:

1. Open the dryer door and remove the lint screen (the blower fan cover will not come off with the lint screen in place).
2. Locate the screws that hold the toe panel in place along the bottom front edge of the panel. HINT: Propping the front feet of the dryer up can give you better access to reach the screws (a 2x4 works well for this). With the screws removed the toe panel will drop down, then come off.
3. Remove the screws that hold the blower fan cover in place.

Inspect the blower fan housing for any objects that may be vibrating against the fan blades.

If you still need further assistance, please let me know. I hope you find this helpful.
