Air actuated pump sithch will not turn off my whirlpool tub. I have access to pump but it looks like everything is connected correctly. Any troubleshooting much appreciated.
First I would remove the switch hose from the pump. Pinch the end of the hose over and hold it in place with a piece of tape. Depress the button and hold. If the button has little to no resistance then there is a hole in the air line which is causing enough air to leak that there is not enough force to activate the switch. If that is not the problem then just consider leaving the switch in the hole on the tub surface but adding a regular wall swich to the wall near the tub. This move the switch action from the tub to the wall. This a really cheap solution compared to getting a new switch mechanism which is what is broken for about $200.
