Black screen when i power on my laptop theres no display only black screen but the power led is ok.how to fix it

Can you see a faint picture when looking up close to the screen? If so this could be the screen inverter that lights up the screen that has gone!

try external monitor to laptop with screen disconnected ,if it works laptop ok screen has problem ,common problem blown fluro light or power to screen and power to fluro ok fluro has problem,check power to screen fluro nil then screen power supply problem or led check wire loom from case to screen power supply.

Restart your computer and then press and hold F8 keys until you get Advanced Options menu screen.Use the arrow key to highlight Safe Mode, and then press Enter, your computer will boot automatically to safe mode.
If you able to start in the safe mode then Scan your computer for viruses. Some viruses can cause a black Screen , especially ones that infect the master boot record (MBR) or boot sector.
Update drivers for your hardware. black Screens are hardware or driver related so updated drivers could fix the cause of the STOP error.
Return BIOS settings to their default levels. An overclocked or misconfigured BIOS can cause all sorts of random issues, including black screen.
If it doesn't helps you then simply get the system utility program like PC Fresher that will fix windows errors that cause of black screen screen

pls check the adapter is good or not
check power socket
if power and adaptor is good then the numlock key leds and wireless and power key led must be green make sure it and if they are all green your screen may be bad check with another built in display card on the laptop to another monitor.

If it turns black again, try to check first if it's just the LED's that are defective. If you push the monitor 40 degrees down, and you can see very faint display from that angle, then it's probably that the LED's are the culprit, and you can have it replaced for a less price.

Is it POSTing? Do parts make noise and then theres a Beep? The beep means it finished the Power On Self Test. Once it posts then it will show splash screen or black screen with it testing hard drives disk drives etc.. If no post is the led lit that says A/C is connected? before you attempt to turn on? If no post and good ac to rear connector then you probably need a new motherboard.
