The light on the remote is a battery light. First mistake was buying a store brand fan which are mostly low-end parts. Try adding a different remote w/receiver.

Hunter ceiling fan fan is working but lights are not

Make sure light wire is connected at the ceiling & at the bottom. Otherwise it's probably the receiver. 1-888-830-1326 ( Hunter parts )

if its a duel switch that controls lights, and the fan seperately. sounds like the power for the lights is going directly to the fan, and therefore making the lights work also. also check out switch, make sure power is only going to the lights, with light switch on.

The remote controls the fan speed but wont dim or control the light. the unit wont work if the light switch is off so I cant use the fan at all unless the light is turned on

mcdevito75 here, Generally the Ceiling fan motor is hooked up by-passing the wall switch but still to the hot laed going to the wall switch whlie the lights are hooked up to the hot lead after the wall switch, So without the remote, Manually operate your fan and lights. First with the wall switch off the fan should work and the lights no work. Now turn the fan off with the pull chain on the fan shroud close to the ceiling. Now turn wall switch on and lights should work with wall switch and the fan should also work. if so, re-program the remote or change the batteries or even re--place the remote.

Fan works but light does not. bulbs are good.

mcdevito75 here, The lights should work from the wall light switch and the fan from the pull chain on the fan itself. The fan and the lights come off the same wall circuit so if the fan works, so should the lights, however in the fan assembly itself 1 wire was for the lights and 1 wire was for the fan. You'll have to pull the fuse to that fan, and remove the cover to the fans wireing at the ceiling., Now you can see the fans wireing, I'll bet the wire to the lights has fallen offf due to the vibration of the fan. Hook up the loose wire and the lights should work. If you can"t do the work, look for a handy man in your building / Area.

The fan works great, but the light does not work?

are they both on the same switch?
have you checked the bulb it self or the socket that it goes into?
have you checked the plug in the fixture for the light? plug the fan into the light socket plug to check and do the same for the light - plug into the fan outlet...
have you checked both the neutral and the hot for the light plug?

Fan remote nor lights work.

FIRST CHECK THE WIRE CONNECTIONS IN THE FAN ARE NOT LOOSE ,IF ALL CONNECTIONS ARE GOOD THEN I WOULD SUGGEST YOU REPLACE REMOTE.

LIGHT AND FAN ARE NOT WORKING. HAMPTON BAY LIGHT IS NOT WORKING

Could be a loose wire up inside the fan. I would be very careful in its use. Might I suggest getting an electrician in to resolve this issue. You do not want to battle a fire over a fan light issue.
