Bosch dishwasher beeping during cycle

With 92 minutes left in the cycle, the dishwasher starts a loud beep every other second. Opened the door and it stopped; closed and 10 minutes later it beeps again. Opened, closed, again 10 minutes later it beeps. Seems it is draining okay. Fine filter is not clogged. Only thing we can think of is we added rinse agent just prior to this load.

I have a Bosch model# shp65t55uc that started beeping between 30-40 times between cycles. We noticed that the arms were no longer spinning as well. We were finally able to narrow the issue down to a bad Water inlet Valve (part # 00628334). Once the part was installed it finally had enough water to run correctly and the beeping stopped. Our bosch water fill hose seemed to be breaking apart and it had clogged the inlet valve so we also replaced the hose as well.

Take the front kick panel off and see if anything under the machine is wet.

Testimonial: "It is bone dry underneath."

The problem persists. I have checked the impeller, no blockage. Nothing blocking the drain hose nor the "u-turn" connector on the size.

Now the beep starts after just two minutes of cycle and the drain pump just hums. Can anyone tell me how to test the drain pump to see if it's bad?

  • Brad Brown Feb 22, 2014

There should be an envelope visible when you took the kick panel off, it has the tech sheet in it and that has all the tests that you can run to see what the outcome is

Was Drain solenoid checked? Beneath some dishwashers, there's a timer-activated drain solenoid (an electro-magnetic coil) that opens a drain valve, to drain the wash water through a hose and out to the house's plumbing waste system.

Better switch of till you are ready with full load. Otherwise you have to trace the beeper and disconnect it.

SOURCE: My Bosch dishwasher is driving me crazy! When it

Hello there,

It would help to know the model number of the dishwasher, but on many Bosch dishwashers, you can switch the cycle cycle completion signal off as follows:

1. While holding the right-hand CANCEL/DRAIN button, also press and hold the ON/OFF button
2. When the LED above the CANCEL/DRAIN button illuminates and the beeping starts, release both buttons
3. Press the right CANCEL/DRAIN button repeatedly until the beeping tone is at the desired volume, i.e. silent!
4. Press the "ON/OFF" button again to set the volume.

On models with the wash cycle buttons on the top edge of the door, the CANCEL/DRAIN buttons aren't always explicitly labelled CANCEL/DRAIN. These buttons are also labelled RESET on some models.

On models with 3 and 4 wash cycle buttons, the right CANCEL/DRAIN button is the third button when reading from left to right. On models with 5 wash cycle buttons, the right CANCEL/DRAIN button is the fourth button when reading from left to right.

Please try the above then let me know if you need further assistance. Please state the model number or series (i.e. Integra) of your washer if/when replying.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
BElectric

Why is my Bosch dishwasher beeping and not starting?
Bosch dishwashers are designed to beep when there is an error. A beep means that your drain is not clogged, and the rest of the parts are functioning as they should. Beeping in the middle of the cycle points to the problem with the control board itself. Find the circuit breaker and turn it off for 60 seconds.

Beeping won't stop at end of cycle

Our Bosch does the same thing, we just open the door shut of the power and close the door again so the heat can sanitize the dishes. I don't recall if there is an alert off button though.
