RCA Universal Remote RCR412BN - Can't add channels on Sony Trinit
I acquired an old Sony Trinitron model KV-1970R, but not the remote. I purchased an RCA Universal Remote RCR412BN. The channel changer only accesses about six stations the previous owner had programmed in. I got a copy of the original Trinitron instructions, which said you should use the channel buttons to get to the channel you want to add, then press "enter," and then "add."
On this remote, I can't see anything that says, "Enter." I tried the "OK" check-mark button, but I still can't add more channels. It puts a "+" mark next to the channel the TV was tuned to before I attempted to add another channel. What should I do?

get a SONY universal remote number RM-U302 it needs no codes just press the SONY item say in your case TV and the remote will self calibrate to your type
Go to menu and select add/delete channels. Then select 02, or 03. Some channels that are selected the numbers will show green, channels not locked in will be red.
YOU NEED TO GET INTO THE CONSUMER MENU AND ACTIVATE THE AUTO PROGRAMM MODE. I BELIEVE WALMART CARRIES A UNIVERSAL SONY REMOTE WHICH WILL ALLOW YOU INTO THE MENU.

I have a old tv model KV-1380R Sony Trinitron, but I don't have the remote control, I buy universal remote control, but I don't have the code for this old tv
I have KV-X2982U, With the television on 4, Grip the top side of remote control RM-833 and reverse it, putting it back in the holder. Press Menu on the remote. Several options appear. Press the white button "Preset". You can then manually tune in the setting to channel 4 by pressing the green button, or alternatively you could tune in all channels automatically by pressing red. You may get a better signal on the other channels this way. Good Luck.
