Sansa e250 will not turn on

Sansa wouldn't charge, unscrewed the back and fixed the battary. Started charging but when I unhook it it turns off and won't turn on. Tried holding the power key and record key at the same time while locking it. Held the power button for 15-20 seconds and still nothing.

Please help. Thanks!

Me too sorta, I got it last night put all my music on it and went to bed and let it charge all night. I got up took a look at it it was plugged in to my PC and the light was on showing a white screen but the thing you move to scroll in menu was not lit up! I tried turning it on and off but nothing happens just stays on the lit up white screen!

Listened to it fine and I shut it off. A few minutes later I tried to charge and it wouldn't do anything; charge, power-on, zip. Removed the battery and reinserted - it's fine now. Possibly oxidation of the battery connections, or maybe it just needed a reset? We'll see if it happens again....

e250 turns on while 'charging' via connected through USB. However, when unplugged, the player won't turn on at all. It's charged for about six hours...shouldn't be dead.

Try changing the battery. Batteries typically last two years or so before you start to notice odd behaviour. If you know some electronics, then with the back battery cover removed, measure the voltage across the battery inside the phone. For a good, fully charged battery it should read around 3.7V; if you are reading anything less then chances are the battery has reached the end of its road. Good luck.

My sansa mp3 won't turn on how do I fix it

How do you know it is charged? If you can connect and see it on a PC, backup your music, before doing anything.

It won't turn on and keeps charging

Try unscrewing the four screw on the back and pulling out the battery then replacing it.

My mp3 sansa won't turn on or charge.

If it freezes up, wont charge or just wont turn on... slide the power button up for 15-20 seconds then turn it on. That should work everytime. good luck

My sansa e250 mp3 player is not turning on and charging.

i had the same problem.  the solution i used was to unscrew the back and pop the battery out and put it back in.  the only other option is to wait for the battery to die, which can take a while.  it's definitely a flaw with the sansa.  its happened twice within 6 months...  good luck

Sansa won't charge or load.

Plug it into the computer (the cord you would use to charge it and transfer files), and hold down the power button for at least 15 seconds. The Sansa should then begin to turn on and start charging. :)

Sansa e250

i know i have to charge my sansa for at least 7-8 hours before the battery will show it is full. about your other problem, i believe there is an option under the settings menu to automatically shut your sansa off. If not then you can turn off the backlight and that will save alot of battery life.
