Can you please change the input device to some other you know, works? If you do not notice any problem there, look for the aerial cable going close to any power line or has interference from some other transmissions of any kind nearby.
If the purple lines only appear when you point the lens INTO the sun or light source, that would be why they appear in the photo. If you have the sun/light source behind you and the purple lines still appear on the screen and in the photo, it's time to get a new camera.
The CCD seems to be the problem .... if you are good at disassembling electronic products open the camera .... remove the ccd blow out any dust using a soft hand blowing brush..... and refit the CCD properly and securely ... it shud solve the problem ...
