Kenmore Micro/Oven fuse keeps blowing

Hi, I've got a built-in Kenmore Microwave-Oven combination (Model: 790.47853406) and the Microwave oven keeps blowing the 20A slow burn fuse. It doesn't appear to be linked to anything external (ie: hot cooking, slamming either doors, etc). The unit is 1.5 years old and sees light use. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Rich

Disconnect the connector to the primary winding of the high voltage transformer. Put a new fuse . If the fuse is not blowing the problem may be in the secondary side of the high voltage transformer. Chek the highvoltage diode, capacitor, magnetron respectively. you can also check the primary winding of the low voltage transformer.

Why does the fan keep running on a kenmore spacemaster 300?

Check those 3 micro switches in the door latch assembly. A bad microswitch can blow the main fuse. This usually ruins the microswitch.

Breaker blows

When you turn it on? You mean when you plug it in?

When a microwave blows a breaker but not the fuse, it's often a shorted monitor switch (usually the middle door switch) or one of the other two door switches, or a loose or broken door switch mount.
