Remote suddenly desn't work

Vivatek 37" TV suddenly wont take commands from my remote...the remote that came with it. I tried to program a universal remote to the TV but it wont wok either. Of course I have no code information which might help. Can you help?

just got my tv ( toshiba 26lv47) and the remote wont work for the built in dvd or the set up key ,, the channel and volume is the only one that works

I thought my remote went bad last week for my Viewsonic N1500TV. So Igot a Universal remote and programmed it according to the new remote'sdatabase on this model tv. It didnt operate the TV after I programmedit. So then I told my new remote to "Learn" from the old Remote. Thenew remote did detect every keystroke on the old remote. But it won'toperate the TV. I think the IR receiver on the TV has died. Are thesetypically repairable?

REMOTE NO LONGER WORKS T.V.. WHEN I PUSH ANY OF THE BUTTONS THE MENU POPS UP AND DOWN RANDOMLY. THE BUTTONS ON THE T.V. ITSELF MAKES IT DO THE SAME THING..

N2751W model. Remote can turn on TV but no other functions work from remote, eveything works from TV controls. Replaced remote (RC00070P) + new batteries, does not fix problem. Therefore either hardware fault on IR receiver/code processor in TV OR software reset required in TV?

Viewsonic N2751w remote no longer works, Tried genric uni remote and found codes. Uni remote (Sony) works only after TV has being operating for a few minutes

You may need a new IR sensor for your TV.

You may have accidentally pressed one of the wrong button at the bottom of the remote control. the codes are in the back of the user manual

Have you find out if the problem is with your remote control? For instance, you are able to control your TV using a Universal remote control. My 32" Vizio TV had a similar problem, initially thought it was related to my remote control but in fact the TV didn't respond either to an universal remote control of my SAT receiver that I eventually use to just turn on and off the TV. I've found out that the problem was with a little board on the TV located at the left down corner viewed from the front side of the TV and that receives the signal from the remote control. I found the board on ebay for about $5, replace it and the TV responded again to both original and universal remotes.

Protron lcd tv installing a universal remote but no where to turn on tv. old remote has gone out

It is preferred to have the TV on when programming a remote,but usually not necessary.If you enter the programming codes in the remote,it should be able to turn on the TV if the code is correct.(The remote puts out the same command to turn the TV on or off).

Return the tv universal remote where u bought it,u only used a universal remote when u must have too,because universal remotes are very strangely and react differencely each models of tvs u tries to programming it codes to it CPU chip.Norcent tvs are recent tvs in the market,have many spare original remote.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote.

My remote control for my polaroid tv wont change channels up and down.

The first thing to try is to change out the batteries on the remote. If that doesn't work you could buy a universal remote and program it to work with your TV. If you have a cable box you can probably program that remote to work with your TV.

Universal remote

Universal remotes never work good anyway. You will need the original remote anyway to work the different functions for the TV.

Remote code

I had the same problem with a Viewsonic N3735W LCD TV and Comcast Customer DVR 3 Device remote. I contacted Viewsonic and they gave me 11454 which works.
