HP C5180 All-in-one : Memory Card Error, No memory card in it

This printer lcd is stuck with the error msg screen: Memory Card Error.
No memory card in it, if insert a memory card, it says that it cannot read a second card.

Already checked the slots, no cards inside.

It can still scan and save into computer, print from computer..
It cannot scan and print directly, Basically, any actions from the buttons on the printer is useless.

can only control from printer.. why???

Maybe the cache for memory card is stuck.

i used a paper clip to try pushing at all the 4 slots.. and its ok now!

If you are using Windows 7, check www.hp.com for an update on the appropriate driver download page - there is a know issue with the driver software that prevents scans from being saved anywhere.

I keep getting a memory card error message. i am trying to scan photos to my memory card via my hp photosmart c5180

Some computers will not acknowledge your flash cards. Depending on your flash card, your printer & computer to make sure they are compatible. Try opening your computer Icon to see if card is accepted. then click in your card to see if any file are in. You may have to load your printer software again..

C5180 All-in-One

HP doesn't list that specific error code, however www. dumpanalysis.org had a crash dump analysis listing that or a similar code. That means your printer has an internal error state. Check with the HP articles for error codes. You should try shutting it off for two minutes then rebooting to see if you can get it back online. 0xC2FF, & 0x0000C2FF are UTF 16 & 32 bit Hex codes indicating a memory overflow error (from what I could judge). If you are fortunate it will not be a permenant condition from hardware failure, otherwise your printer may need servicing.
