1. Check if your battery is fully charge or if there is power in your Compaq Presario 900.
2. Check for defect in your power switch.

Sometimes, when you add RAM, you need to tell the computer that you have, do that by going into the BIOS when you start up your computer. Or it could be a wrong ytpe of RAM! Hope one of these idias has helped you.

yeah they are right, and i don't think they are acutally compatible

cant use recorvery ok u need to get xp cd boot into it says it all formatt then install new update ect

can you go into BIOS? be sure you press the power button to know you are indeed starting up. if you see the bios, press F8 and check the settings there. change anything you want but be cautious though.
