Washer is overfilling & leaking

My Speed Queen ATS90AWN front loader is overfilling and leaking tremendously. It's also sudsing like crazy. I'm having to stop the wash cycle, spin it dry and do extra rinses. The load sizes I'm putting in have not changed.

Thanks. We found a narrow hose had been damaged inside causing the problem. Problem is fixed!

Are you using front loader only detergent?(oversudsing) Overfilling is either a pressure switch, or pressure chamber is blocked(located toward underside of outer bowl approx 6 inches long) this is only in older machines with extensive cold washes.

Speed Queen top loader leaks water from the top during washing water spills from top of outer tub ring.

Is it overfilling, too close to the top? If so, replace the water level sensor. Some have an adjustment screw in the centre.

I need to ship mt Speed Queen front loader washer & need the bolts to hold the tub. My model # ATS90AWN & SER # 0411007163. Thanks for any help.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

You will either have to search in your telephone directory for spares suppliers OR stay on line and search for the manufacture's spares suppliers on the web and hope that you can find someone reasonably local with your model's bolts
Sorry that the forum doesn't and can't supply such things.

Alternately you could always take the back off and push something like a blanket or two in the back and around the drum! That's MY cheapskate way around the problem ;-0)
Good luck,

Speed Queen model no.AFN50RSP111TW01 Washer makes humming sound all the time in off position,i am being told by dealer that its the transformer which is normal, replaced transformer and still hums,unplugged...

Usually a transformer hums when it does not have the proper voltage being supplied to it. I would check this first. If the voltage is correct contact a parts supplier and request a new transformer. Speed Queen has a great parts warranty. As Speed Queen is really a commercial machine it is not unusual to have them make more noise than other manufactures.

Did you replace the striker on the door, or the door lock mechanism?

Try adjusting the striker on door.

My speed queen top loader is leaking water during the washing period. Water is coming out of the bottom of the washing machine while it is washing

It is probably the pump. Run the washer with the front off of it. The pump is on the bottom of the motor.

Easy repair.

Shake when spins even when no clothes in it

Make sure the lags are solid to the floor. Any bit of difference will be exagerate when the washer spins. put a piece of paper under each of the front legs. While the washer is spinning try and pull the paper out. If you can pull the paper out with no problem, that leg needs adjusted to the floor more. If Ican help further, please let me know

THanks

Water leak under the rotating drum

Have you removed the front panel?

If not remove front panel two screws 5/16 on bottom

Start the washer in a cycle. look with a flash lite and look for leak.

It maybe the rubber boot.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I will also need model number, because a AWS52NW is a top loader model number not a front loader.
