SOURCE: paper jams when folding 8 1/2 X 11 ivory paper; less often with white. Tech says it's a paper issue - so whose colored paper (brand) will work - or is it a design flaw?

Is this paper the same weight/thickness as the white paper?
Are you specifying the settings properly as far as the weight and type?
It sounds like the sensors are detecting a double feed(?)
Try different settings for the tray, and even try a different brand of stock to verify.

SOURCE: paper jam in fuser

Remove the right hand side cover of the printer, (loosen the two screws, one is at the back).... see the small stepper motor at the top right?
Rotate the white gear teeth connected to it, just visible, DOWNWARDS, ANTI CLOCKWISE, using a blunt screwdriver or something, a few teeth at a time, this will eventually rotate the fuser roller and the paper will come out of the bottom of the fuser.

SOURCE: Paper jam

solution for paperjams when paper sensor cleaning doesnt help: Jam at fuser, half page printing, folding pages

Find all solenoids in your printer:
clean the glue or add oil on the solenoid to prefent it from ticking together.
open the side door and remove the L metal plate to access them.

I have HP Laserjet M1005 printer. I have a paper jam problem at exit and bottam paper fold at fuser. pls solv my problem. thanx

Check for any obstructions inside the fuser, could be something stuck or could be the fuser film has worn out. If so you can replace just the film or the entire fuser. Should sort your problem out

I have canon 2900 and it having every time paper jam problem please help me

Analyse where paper jamming is happening? remove right left back & top covers..press door switch, shoot print command. Remove cartridge after paper jam, check upto where paper travel?
1. If paper jams with curl foldings in cartridge bank area..before entering the fuser assmbly..
# Teflon sleeve not rotation properly due to this paper not passing through it result curl foldings..Replace teflon sleeve..
2. If paper passed fuser assmebly little bit(near about 2-3 inches.
#Problem with paper out sensor/flag. clean sensor, check sensor flag movement & spring.
3. Check registration paper sensor located back side.
# while passing the paper, sensor flag has to act & once paper out it has to reach home, other wise paper jam error will appear.. check flag spring.

Xerox M15i has a paper jam 2 error, how to fix

Hi, open the right side as if you were removing a jam. You will see 4 silver phillips screws. Remove them, unplug the fuser and slide it out. I think you will find either a paper folded up in the fuser or in the paper path just past the fuser.
The fuser itself probably needs rebuilt or replaced.

Take care

The screen reads paper jam error, but there is no visible paper jam and when turned on a grinding noise occurs

Most likely, there is a paper jam in the fuser unit....which is stalling the fuser rollers, thus causing grinding noise (accordian or fan folded jam)

HP LJ P3005 13.31.00 ERROR

Hi,
As i can understand whenever you try to print with rear door closed printed page should come on top from top output roller however paper gets jammed.
Solution:
Try to print a page using rear door open and it should come out from the rear drop down tray it printed page comes out successfully with rear flap open than paper gets jammed at top due to faulty top output roller.
However if the paper gets jammed at fuser with rear door closed than it is issue with fuser in that case you need to get fuser replaced at the same time replace 20 tooth gear next to fuser.

Thanks and Regards

Paper folds and jams before

your description points to a fuser assembly problem which is right where you looked. I'm not sure what that plastic piece is from. if it is black, it probably came from the fuser. That is a replaceable part, but I'm not sure you can still purchase them from Xerox.
