Dryer will not shut off...

Maytag Model No: PYE2300AYW. I always use the Auto Dry settings, and recently the machine will not shut off. I noticed that some people said that theirs would shut off in the timed setting, but there was no heat. Please help. Thanks

Comercial maytag dryer will not shut off. tried replacing timer. heats up but will not shut offf

Hello,

When a dryer heats but the timer does not advance especially on the auto. dry setting (not timed dry) the problem is usually always a airflow problem. What needs to be checked is for lint build up in the blower housing, a blocked or restricted. Also on Maytag dryers a problem sometimes is that the blower wheel drive hub where it connects to the motor is stripped so the blower wheel cant move air, typically if that is the case a rumbling will be heard when dryer starts and once again when the dryer stops a rumblimng noise will be heard.

Maytag electric dryer (PYE2300AYW) does not stop on auto cycle.

Either the control board or the humidity sensor is bad.

Dryer stopped running with 30 minutes left and will not restart. Maytag Performa PYE2300AYW

Reset the circuit breaker for the dryer. Allow the motor to cool, It has over temperature protection that will shut down the motor.

The belt that turns the drum may have broken. I am not sure about this model, but most dryers have a limit switch on the base of the dryer next to the motor that shuts down the dryer when the belt brakes.

MY MAYTAG DRYER PYE2300AYW TAKES 2 CYCLES TO DRY THE CLOTHES

I would imagine your vent duct needs cleaning. We recently had the same problem and a duct cleaning kit from Lowes (about $40) took us from what felt like 'reasonable' airflow outside to "oh-my-gosh, what a difference!!", and left an astonishing pile of nasty, damp lint on the ground out there...
There's a good chance the same treatment would do the same for you. Hope it helps!

Maytag Dryer model number PYE2300AYW will not start.

check your fuses in the dryer their is only one fuse that could shut down the whole dryer like that. Open back panel and get a volt meter and check for continuity on the fuses. HOW? first un plug it then open back then you will see the heating element their are 2 fuses on the heating element take off wires and check those. Then if those are ok look down thier is another fuses its long white with 2 wires comming out of it with a black center that should be your problem check it repair it run it . GOOD LUCK

Maytag Dryer quit working mid cycle

sounds like the timer, the only thermal fuse i know of is to protect from overheating which cools and resets itself

Dryer runs but does not dry my cloths.

Hello, If the dryer appears to be running ok but will not heat you probably have a bad heating element or switch. Usually the heating element.
I hope this helps
