When you say it doesn't work do you mean it blows hot breeze or no breeze at all if it blows hot breeze it could be the expansion valve in the evaporator or if there is some electrical solinoid valve controlling the liquid line feed to the evaporator inside....

What couses the air suspension to air up more then it shoould on a 1999 ford expedition ?

There are height sensors. One for the rear end and I believe one at each front wheel .If the vehicle is going up on all four corners then chances are you've got a controller issue , but if it's only in the front or rear then you've got a sensor issue.Hope this helps

The cruuse control doenst work

alot of the 2000 expeditions had a recall on cruise control deactivation switch, have your ford dealer check it for the recall it could be the problem. also check the switch yourself its screwed into the brake master cylinder check and see if its leaking brake fluid and if it is replace it, if its leaking it can keep the cruise from working

My husband needs to know if there is a fuse that could fail and make the rear air conditioner blow hot air.

no....This is the rear A/C & heater actuator blend door malf/broken. This is very common on expeditions and I encountered the same issue in my 2006 expy. This door switches from hot to cold vents, once stuck only hot air will blow. Also, is there any thumping or tapping noises from the right rear panel (this is where the rear a/c unit is)???

Rear lower than front

it likely has air ride suspension and usually the lines that go from the compressor to the rear air bags have failed. have the system tested for a cracked line or even a bad compressor. there is also level sensors that may be bad but unlikly.

A/c problem

You either have a bad control, or motor running the air direction door in the front HVAC unit, or a door that is stuck.

The front and rear units are totally separate.

The door directs where the air, cold or hot, should come out, whether it is panel vents, floor, defrost, or any combination of those.

This door and motor are located inside the heater box which usually requires a lot of the vehicle dash assembly to be taken apart to get to these parts.
