I want to know the wattage per channel for this car power amp, JVC KS-A82. It's a 2ch/1ch unit. The guy that is selling it says it's 200 watts. I don't believe that it is, but I do not want to pay some website $10.00 to find out.
Here you go.
Hello mohawk120,
Here are the published specifications for the KS-A82.
These came from www.admtechusa.com so they should be accurate. The bridged outpus is not listed, but typically it is somewhere around twice the per channel output. So the RMS output in bridged mode would be about 45-50 watts RMS. Also keep in mind that many 2-channels amps are only stable to 4ohms when bridged.
Hope this helps.
Defiantely not 200 watts

If you were to log on to the
manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as
usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer
Instruction Manuals, list
of Dealers for spare part supplies as required.
Just Google the manufacturer's name and
follow the links. Make certain you are directed to the manufacturer's
web site as some search engines direct you to other sites and they
charge for the information that is normally free of charge.
I hope this helps.
