I would like a manual for my digital camera

The SP-700 does not allow you to take photos in black&white. It will let you convert color photos to black&white, however. See the "Editing Still Photos (REDEYE FIX/BLACK&WHITE/SEPIA" section in the advanced manual (page 78 in my copy).

lens is out of adjustment , try slapping the camera in your palm as your powering up, it might take a few times so be patient that should reset lens

That's the beauty of a digital camera. It doesn't cost anything to experiment. Try different settings and stick with the ones you like.

If it works, use it as long as you can.

Fixing snap-shooters is generally not worth it,
since digital cameras evolve rapidly and lose
value even faster with age.

I have exactly this same problem, went out to a special do yesterday and really disappointed with the photos some are ok others are dreadful really blurred. Used to be fine, I don't know what is going wrong now.

Try turning to the guide and it will change the settings for you, as you step through the settings it offers.

Yes there is an option to turn the sound off, so you can take up less space on the memory card. Try turning to the video clips on the dial then push the menu button for options!
