My mp3 player will not turn on, and if i try to charge it, nothing happens. the screen stays black and off. I have the Windows Vista Home Premium is that a problem? What can i do for this?
You need to turn on your mp3 and press connect to computer then the computer will verify it.

has the mp3 player had any of the following:
1) software updates
2) been left in different room temperatures frequently
3) been dropped or knocked
4) any kind of surge or impropper turn off procedure
?
i ask as some of these could mean the mp3 player is either dead, or needing the flash forcefully re-programmed by someone with a programmer and a good soldering hand.
but saying that, think about iphones, they have certain buttons to press to enter certain modes.
it could be as simple as pressing certain keys
and possibly it could jump start. check with samsung to see if they have any special button configurations for certain functions not normally used by consumers. e.g restore modes or factory resets etc.
