My mp3 player will not turn on, and if i try to charge it, nothing happens. the screen stays black and off. I have the Windows Vista Home Premium is that a problem? What can i do for this?
1) software updates 2) been left in different room temperatures frequently 3) been dropped or knocked 4) any kind of surge or impropper turn off procedure ?
i ask as some of these could mean the mp3 player is either dead, or needing the flash forcefully re-programmed by someone with a programmer and a good soldering hand.
but saying that, think about iphones, they have certain buttons to press to enter certain modes. it could be as simple as pressing certain keys and possibly it could jump start. check with samsung to see if they have any special button configurations for certain functions not normally used by consumers. e.g restore modes or factory resets etc.

I PLUGGED IN MY MP3 PLAYER TO THE COMPUTER AND THE SCREEN ON MY MP3 PLAYER LIGHTS UP BUT the normal screen image for when you normally plug it into the computer ISN'T THERE AND I CAN'T ADD MUSIC ON MY MP3 PLAYER.
In this case wat u can do is on the Mp3 player itself u will see a slide switch which will
say Hold/Unhold or Lock/Unlock............
Just make sure it is not Locked or On Hold and then try to turn it on.........
Good Luck.......
Take Care
Only 2 suggestions here:
1) Make sure your HOLD switch is not enabled.
2) Try to update the firmware
If neither of these work, time to send the unit back to Sandisk
