Belt comes off

If the belt is coming off the pullies my be out of line .you need to put a straight edge across the two pullies to make sure they are level . And check there's enough tension on the belt .

My timing belt kept coming off also, even with a new belt. I cut a disc of aluminum 1/8 thick slightly larger than the wheel and belt appr 1/8 all the way around. I fastened the disc to the wheel with 6/32 screws and nuts and it works great. No problems with belt coming off 3 months later. Email me bkarudy@yahoo for pics.

If the pulley wheel doesn't seem to connect to anything else it is probably just your tension pulley.
These are only to keep the serpentine belt tight while allowing it to adjust to some limited extent.

You can replace the pulley itself. These commonly grind when they go bad, or in your case it sounds like yours just broke off..

your treadmill's belt is loose. You have to tight the belt from the both side.
all the treadmills follow the same procedure for tightening the waking belt. Watch the following video for the same.

well 1 what kinda belt,motor, etc second if theres no tension on the tension pulley then itll will need to be replaced 2 autozone will print you out a diagram on most cars and trucks for free

You should have a tensioner pully (a small wheel on a piece of spring steel) that hold the belt tight.
If that spring steel is broken or weak, then you will have to take the broken one to your local appliance repair parts shop and obtain a new one.

That should keep the belt tight and keep the drum spinning.... -Jim

Usually this means the belt is broken,the belt may have just been old and worn out and it was time to replace it,or perhaps the wheels locked up or the idler and caused the belt to break. Look around for stiff wheels, bad bearings, glides and idlers. Its a good idea to oil the rollers with some temp resistant oil such as zoom oil. Dont use WD40 as this stuff is highly flammable and may cause a fire.

By removing the top cover, or the turning wheel cover,
you will be able to see the belt.
If the belt is not broken, then try to adjust the belt tension,
by adjusting either the height of the motor, or the tension wheel.

You should have a "tension pulley" that the belt goes around somewhere in the belt track. Usually a "wheel or pulley mounted on a spring" which looks like a flat piece if metal. Check to see if it has come out of its positon or the flat spring has broken. You can buy replacements if it has. Simply reposition the belt and push the tension pulley in such a way as to engage the belt correctly. That should fix it.
