If you go to this link http://fmisupport.hcents.com/supportdocs/54024F.pdf it will take you straight to the owner's manual.
Now the gas log set is completely seperate from the fireplace. You would need to find out the model of the gas log set as any manufactuer of vented gas logs can go in this fireplace. Just for clarification the brand is actually Coleman but it was made by FMI. Now, the SPVBPD is a direct vent gas log set that was only designed to go into either the Amity, Oxford, or Victor hearth gas stoves. If you have the SPVBPD burner in a 36ECMII then you honestly need to remove that log set, as it was a burner only rated for direct vent fireplaces, and get a set of 18" LP vented logs. If you look at the link below you will see the owner's manual for the SDVBND. These logs need to be removed and you can go with any 18" vented log set. I suggest Peterson (http://www.rhpeterson.com/realfyre/vented-series/)
as they have the widest selection of logs and biggest array of dealers. Good luck.

This house was built in 2003 with VERMONT casting gas fireplace #UVBR42. How do I light the pilot?

Possible instructions, but you may need to call for gas company if gas is off, or a technician to repair a 2003 fireplace.

Be patient in attempting to light it if electric, as it may take 3 or 4 tries, and you may smell gas and see a visible spark when lighting it.

Help troubleshooting an FMI GL-850E Gas Fireplace

It sounds like the Ignition Control Module went out, as I've heard the vibrating noise you speak of just before the module "dies." You most likely have the gray Robertshaw control module box located under the fireplace connecting the power to the gas valve. You will need to have a Certified Gas Fireplace Specialist look into this issue and replace, if necessary.

My pilot light is lit but the gas fireplace won't light...

Make sure the valve is in the ON position, if so and the burner still will not lit, then you'll need to get the thermopile replaced.

We moved into an old house with ''Magic Chef 410-1'' The stove works fine. The oven pilot is now lit, but when we turn the switch on, the oven does not light. I cannot find the owner's manual anywhere!!

When the oven control is turned on the pilot should grow larger. If it does and it is not lighting it is the thermocouple which is part of the safety valve. If it does not grow the pilot assembly is plugged and cleaning it would be a temporary fix but the correct one is to replace the pilot assembly.

Can't find instructions on lennox gf 8 series furnace

Does it have a standing pilot light? On new units, there is an igniter and not a pilot. But if you have a standing pilot, you will move the gas valve to "pilot" and push down the red button while holding a flame under the pilot located by one of the jets. Once it lights continue to hold the button down for a minute or so and then release the button. The pilot should stay lit. Then turn the dial to the on position. That's it.......... If the pilot won't stay lit then the thermocouple is bad and needs to be replaced.
