Re: Do you have to use oil in the pump and if so type,how...
Water pumps doesn't require oil in the pump; but your engine does require. if the water pump is of "self priming" type, fill the pump casing with water before starting the machine to avoid damage to the water seals.

Looks like there is lime inside the bypass- that is blocked the microswitch will not be reached or 1 or more of the valves are limed there can be enough for a problem inside the pump valve-o-rings or the cuff kit ? or only clean nozzle try it first without the lance if it will give water Campbell Hausfeld PW1750 Manuals
"pump oil" usually is a fire redardant mineral type , ive seen good uses of dietary mineral oil avail at local phamacy , but is sort of pricey if filling a total pump up with it (allways allow for heat expansion)
Checlk the oil worm gear is driving the pump. If this isnt the problem then try the following:-
The type of oil pump fitted to these models is prone to getting blocked. Remove the oil pump. The gear on top should turn freely, give the pump a clean and clean the oil pipe to the tank by removing the oil cap and blowing through with an air line. If the oil in the tank contains alot of dirt, empty/clean and replace. The filter on the oil is an open plastic cage type and often will draw large sawdust particles through it. Easily rectified tho.
I understand that you need to rewire your pressure washer. I understand that you already have the switch wired and the motor wired as they are working. You need to power the pump that has a white (common) male and a black (hot) female. You what spade connections do you have open to connect too.
You should have a black and a white that have nothing attached to them this is where the pump wires are going to attache in the circuit.
if you can turn off the hw and ch off , to the off postion and it shuts off then the acl lifestyle could needreplacing mine did the same on ch only so changed mine , or check the divtervalve is working and not stuck in the open postion , try turning hw on and off only then the ch see if valve works
I ahve had Washer for 9 years. I has worked nicely. Now, it will not pump with house valve on. It will spray under pressure when the valve is turned off. I have rewired the plug in cord.
HI I would think that your pressure switch has stuck.
You will need to remove the covers etc and check the internal pressure switch that will be situated on the outlet of the pump. It maybe stuck and just want greasing etc or may need replaceing.
