If water keeps running even if the unit is unplugged than the water solenoid valve has become defective.

if the water stops when power is off than there is a problem with either the timer or the fill switch. My bet is on the timer.

Always be careful when opening the top cover. you will be exposing wires. power must be turned off at the breaker or the unit unplugged.

Starts but no water, then shuts off

start by removing water line and see if it is blocked with dirt or something. if it is then that could be the problem. if not I would replace the water inlet valve.

Start machine and water starting flooding from the bottom of machine and water would not stop filling until I shut the water off.

Unplug machine. tilt back and visually inspect. this will explain where leak is. Machine will only shut off when water has reached correct level.

Washer shuts off. We start it, it shuts off. We start it again, shuts back off. Sometimes it runs, sometimes it doesn't.

Check the water water supply at the water inlet valve. Remove the supply hoses and check that the small screens in the inlet valve are not clogged with rust or debris. The water inlet valve solenoids can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty solenoid and the water inlet valve will need to be replaced. I am attaching a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Car Won't Start

More then likely when you replaced the water pump and starter you might have installed the starter wrong or it's defective if it used to start before the repairs u did but now wont. Also, Why did your car overheat in the first place? might not be a problem with your water pump but perhaps a bad headgasket. Might wanna get that checked.
