T7316E Telephone - Nortel Norstar Telephone System
Hi There. I sure hope you can help. My boss purchased the above-note telephone system and (briefly) had a receptionist who programmed two mailboxes. Since that time, the receptionist has left and I am being asked to re-program the entire system. I do have all the books, manuals, etc., and I am ready to take this on but I am unable to program anything without the password/log in. Is there any way I can over ride whatever has been set in there in order to attempt to re-program the entire system. The good news is that there are only 3 of us here. My boss has his correct mailbox recording. His associate, howver, has changed offices and now her extension has not "followed" her so while her phone rings, messages are taken on another extension. I have nothing but mainly because I am unable to program due to not having password. HELP! Thanks.

If your company extentions are 2 digits long enter "120000"
If your company extentions are 2 digits long enter "1020000"
If your company extentions are 2 digits long enter "10020000"
If you are fmailiar with the programming of the system, you must set the lines (3-8) to appear and ring on the extensions.
Assuming you have a later release MICS or CICS:
Press Feature ** 266344, then the installer password. Press Show at Terminals and Sets, enter ext #. Press
Show until you are asked for the line number, then scan through the
line appearances, and change to "Appear Only" on the lines you don't
want to ring at that set.
Repeat for each extension you want to change.
DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH PROGRAMMING.....
1 you can but it must be done via log on to switch with lap top (you may use handset but very tricky)
