Replacement Parts for Fitness Exercise Equipment at SPORTSMITH

Unfortunately, the only way to resolve this issue is to replace the clutch and possible the shaft it rides on.

Squealing noise on may tag 3000 series dryer at start of cycle

There are a few causes for this. One is the main bearing, video below to show repair.
Squeaky Noisy or Screeching Dryer

Second is the drum rollers themselves, I use a heavyweight oil on the shaft and it cures it on mine for a couple years.

High pitched squeal when jeep idles or during deceleration. soonafter, clutch pedal jumped violently under my foot followed by engine stalling out. could not depress clutch pedal after that.

It sounds like your clutch bearing has gone they are usually on a pendulum system it screeches before it starts to go. Best get it checked.

Bad sqeel or screech w/defrost mode, when compresser is engaged. turned it to just heat it stoped

There are a couple of things that could cause this.

First, a worn belt can result n slippage and squealing when the compressor load is applied.

Second, a worn out compressor clutch can result in a metal-to-metal contact when the clutch engages. This will cause slipping and squealing.

Third, the compressor shaft could be locked up, so that when the clutch engages, the belt slips over the pulley and squeals.

1996 nissan maxima clutch squeals pedal stuck to floor

Sound like you're going to need a whole new clutch assembly, but if the fluid level was dry you may have sucked air into the system which means that the clutch will have to be bled at the slave cylinder, just like you would brakes. The squealing sound is coming from the throw out bearing, usually when the do that it means that the bearing is frozen and cannot spin. Either way it looks like you'll be dropping the transmission to work on the clutch.

High pitched howling and screeching (yes two different noises). The howling appears to happen when the air conditioning compressor pulley engages. The screeching, my guess would be from the belt. Any...

When the AC compressor kicks on, an electrical load is placed on the alternator and the drive belt that turns the alternator pulley, if not tight enough, can cause the belt to squeal. Replacing the belt should help with that noise if the belt is stretched from wear. The screeching noise can be from a bad idler pulley, a bad belt tensioner pulley or a bad alternator pulley or a failing clutch on a very old ac compressor and rarely a water pump pulley. To check pulleys remove the drive belt and turn them individually to see if they can be tilted up down or sideways with play in the "bearing" of the pulley. Also, you may wish to visually inspect the clutch on the ac and look for melted black rubber around the bolts that secure the clutch to the compressor (stinks, smokes and melts these rubber areas if ac compressor clutch fails).

Whirlpool LSR7233EQ0 Squeals

There are dogs in the agitator and they can vibrate and growl at times. An easy check for this is to turn the top of the agitator either way briskly and see if the dogs engage. If they do, just lube them sparingly with lithium spray lube, silicone spray or Vaseline. Also make sure while the agitator cap is off that the agitator bolt on top is sufficiently tight.

Your squealing sound is the result of a worn drum brake which affects both the spin and brake function of the inner tub. For my step by step detailing access to this part, take a look at my tip on disassembly here\/\/\/

Can't get A/C belt around pulleys on my 01 Chevy Tracker 2.5 V6

The belt typically won't squeal when too tight, it will just put more wear and tear on the components. I would recommend removing the belt, and cleaning the pulley with brake parts cleaner and a tooth brush. There is probably some sort of residue on the pulley, which is allowing the belt to slip when the a/c clutch engages. If this doesn't help, make sure all of your pulleys are aligned. Use a long straight edge to check their alignment with each other. If they aren't close to perfectly straight, it will cause the belt to ride funny and squeal when the a/c clutch engages.

Screeching noise, then a/c stops blowing cold air. Still blows air, just not cold air.

it could be the air conditioning clutch going out. to check turn your car on and idle it with ac on and hood open. at the ac compressor it will have a pulley on it with a clutch that engages when the air conditioning is on. if it engages and disengages it can be the clutch itself has gone bad, the ac clutch will also disengage if there is not enough freon in the ac system, will also engage and disengage if the pressure gets too high in the ac system. Depending on the year of the vehicle it will disengage at full throttle and come back on when you are not at full throttle.
If it is a metallic sounding screech for example take a coke can and drag it across pavement kind of sound it could be a bad compressor or a bad ac clutch. If it is a more rubbery sound for example a car spinning its tires kind of noise it could be a loose belt.

1. Check to make sure all belts are tight under hood
2. start car and look at ac compressor to make sure compressor pulley is turning and that the fan clutch is engaged spinning
