SOURCE: Washer door will not open. Power button will not

Hi,

You can manually unlock the door on this washer. First you should unplug the washer from the wall outlet and then remove the lower access panel. With the lower access panel removed, and the washer unplugged, reach up to the door lock and feel for a round release ring and pull it down. The door should unlock now.

Thank you !!

SOURCE: when washer starts it usually

your main belt is broken or loose i would suspect the latter, the reason the door will not open is the machine has started a wash cycle and because the belt is not able to finish the cycle the door wont open so the progam is not finished, switch the machine of at the mains and the door will open after 10 mins. But the problem remains the belt.please rate this answer thanks.adrian,,,,,,,,,

Maytag centennial washer

Put some water in the washer tub, a few gallon should do it. Then turn machine back on, it will recognize when the water has drained out and stop that cycle.

My machine had been giving E20 error code - cleaned out filter and pressed start button and it started again ok. During wash it jammed and all lights went on (except spin speeds) and it wouldn't...

E20 is a general error code to get to the real problem try this.. Reading ErrorCodes 1. Wake the washer by pressing any button. 2. Wait 5 seconds. 3. Press and hold

Kenmore Oasis Washer won't drain. "Ld" code during

Hi

Error code LD means long drain. This error appears when the washer takes more than 5 minutes to pump out the water till point where pressure switch resets. To resolve the issue you'll need to clean the drain hose, inspect if the drain hose is plugged. If the hose is fine, then remove the front kick panel and access the drain pump and filter, if you are unable to find the pump and filter remove the back panel as well and trace the drain hose to the bottom of the tub. There is a drain filter connected with the drain pump. It usually gets clogged, and needs to be cleaned every 6-8 months or so. The drain filter is a small white filter connected to drain pump with a hose. If it still doesn't work then you'll need to check the connections of the drain pump, check the electrical connections with a multimeter. Hope this helps... Please post back for more information.

Humming and not filling?

had the same problem this morning, turned out the pump on the drain side had frozen, took it apart, and broke free the fan, humming stopped, washer back up and working.  Its two screws to the bottom of the washer, two electrical connection (white and black) two hoses to undo, and three screws on the pump itself, after actually committing to doing it, only took about 10 minutes.

good luck

Washer keeps stopping during any cycle

the humming noise could be from two sources and it is worth while doing a few simple checks first the drain pump is jammed with a foreign object. check nothing caught in the impellor second water not available - check taps turned on. also turn water off, undo fill hoses, put in a bucket and turn water back on try on drain or spin programs to check water drainage as well

Stalled Motor

quite possibly the drain pump which would cause it to stick in rinse cycle. the humming noise you heard is probably the drain pump powered up but jammed. likely cause is a foreign object stuck in the pump impellor - main culprit is bits of bra wire. take the pump to pieces and extract whatever is jamming it.
